About the role
WRN Health Incorporated is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our finance team in Davao City, Davao del Sur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reporting systems.As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for executing essential accounting functions that directly support the financial health and compliance of our organisation. This role is pivotal to ensuring that WRN Health Incorporated operates with transparency and meets all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities- Recording financial transactions accurately in the general ledger and maintaining comprehensive account records
- Preparing and reconciling bank statements, cash reconciliations, and subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account adjustments
- Supporting the audit process by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions and balances
- Maintaining compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
- Assisting with payroll processing and verification of payroll records
- Identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting errors in a timely manner
- Supporting the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a financial accounting or accounting officer role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with databases and accounting systems
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation processes, and account management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Preferred: experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
- Preferred: familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance procedures
