What is the job?
The Restoration Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing damages, preparing estimates, and coordinating restoration projects in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Uses Xactimate or similar tools to prepare accurate estimates for restoration projects, considering repairs and replacements.
- Assesses damaged properties, including residential and commercial buildings affected by fire, flood, and other incidents.
- Collaborates with project managers, contractors, and insurance adjusters to gather information and negotiate estimates.
- Maintains knowledge of insurance policies, coverage limits, and Hawaii-specific regulations for accurate estimating.
- Prepares detailed estimates, including labor, materials, permits, and subcontractor costs, using estimating software.
- Stays updated on industry trends, construction codes, and regulations, ensuring accurate and efficient estimations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree of engineering, architectural, or any related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in restoration, insurance adjusting, or a closely related field.
- Experience in estimating within the restoration industry, particularly in repairing houses and offices damaged by fire, floods, and other related incidents.
- Experience in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite.
