Job role: Remote Estimator
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to support our U.S.-based clients in delivering accurate and competitive project estimates.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing quantity takeoffs, analyzing project requirements, and producing cost estimates across multiple construction scopes. Your work will directly impact project planning, budgeting, and overall profitability.
Key Qualifications:
- Construction Estimating Experience: 1+ years of experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis for commercial and residential projects in the U.S.
- CSI MasterFormat Expertise: Proficient in the CSI MasterFormat, including Divisions 05 (Metals), 06 (Wood, Plastics & Composites), 08 (Openings), 09 (Finishes), and 12 (Furnishings), with working knowledge across all divisions for full-scope estimating.
- Quantity Takeoffs & Costing: Skilled in preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, material takeoffs, and cost estimates with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Blueprint & Specification Reading: Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, RFIs, and addenda.
- Estimating Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore Estimating, and similar digital takeoff and bid management tools.
- Bid Preparation & Analysis: Experience in preparing bid proposals, scope reviews, cost breakouts, and leveling subcontractor bids.
- Construction Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction means and methods, building materials, and commercial project workflows.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in takeoffs and pricing, ensuring complete scope coverage and minimal errors.
- Project Coordination: Effective collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams during preconstruction phases.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced estimating environment.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Technology & AI Adaptability: Comfortable using emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance estimating efficiency and data analysis.
