Job Summary

The Senior Process Documentation Specialist is responsible for analyzing, mapping and documenting business processes while supporting future-state design and transformation initiatives. This role enables successful migration to Global Business Services operations by translating business requirements into structured process flows, controls and knowledge assets.

Operating within a GBS environment, this role supports cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence and consistent service delivery outcomes.

What you'll do
  • Analyze and document current-state workflows, activities, controls and dependencies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to capture process inputs, outputs and operational requirements
  • Identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for process standardization and improvement
  • Support development of future-state process designs including workflows, roles and service delivery models
  • Apply global process taxonomy, naming conventions and enterprise frameworks to ensure consistency
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions and job aids aligned to approved designs
  • Create and update training materials and knowledge assets to support onboarding and transition to GBS operations
  • Document process controls, risk considerations and compliance requirements to support governance and audit readiness
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of all documentation prior to process transition
  • Manage document repositories, version control and organization of knowledge materials
  • Partner with design, build and transition teams to ensure readiness and execution alignment
  • Identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies and escalate for resolution

What you need

Experience
  • 4–8 years of experience in process analysis, operations, transformation, documentation or shared services environments required
  • Experience in process mapping, workflow documentation or business process analysis required
  • Experience developing standard operating procedures and training materials required
  • Experience supporting process improvement or transformation initiatives required
  • Experience in global business services, business process outsourcing or global capability center environments preferred
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Communications or related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
Certifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt preferred
  • Business Process Management certification preferred
  • Instructional Design or Training Certification preferred
Skills
  • Process analysis, reengineering and documentation expertise
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods such as DMAIC, PDCA or 8D
  • Process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio or BPMN platforms
  • Project management and facilitation skills
  • Data-driven decision-making and performance tracking
  • Instructional design and knowledge management practices
  • Understanding of process governance, standardization and controls
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional and matrixed environments
  • Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability
