Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Business Development to lead and expand our B2B sales initiatives within the compliance consulting and training space. This role requires a proven track record in selling to mid-to-large enterprises, deep understanding of regulatory environments (e.g., data protection, ESG, workplace safety, risk management), and a passion for building client relationships that deliver long-term value.Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute the business development strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, tech, etc.).
- Evaluate and enter new markets or verticals with tailored compliance solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and closure.
- Build and manage a robust B2B sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Define KPIs and drive consistent revenue growth from new and existing clients.
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior decision-makers (e.g., compliance officers, legal counsel, HR leaders).
- Position the company as a trusted compliance partner by understanding client needs and customizing solutions.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and generate repeat business and referrals.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business development team.
- Collaborate with consulting, training, and marketing teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee onboarding and training of new team members to ensure message consistency and client alignment.
- Develop tailored proposals and RFP responses in collaboration with subject-matter experts.
- Stay current on regulatory changes to ensure offerings remain relevant and competitive.
- Recommend service bundling, pricing models, and delivery formats based on market needs.
- Identify and manage strategic partnerships with legal firms, HR tech providers, and compliance platforms.
- Explore co-branded offerings, certifications, or license-based revenue models.
- Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts to executive leadership.
- Analyze sales metrics and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide voice-of-the-customer insights to improve offerings and service delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Marketing, or related field.
- 8+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in compliance consulting, corporate training, or a related service industry is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in closing high-value enterprise deals.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex client requirements and long sales cycles.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
