Training Officer - Pest Managerment

JOB SUMMARY:
The Training Officer is responsible for the implementation of the learning and training programs for new and existing Team Members. He/she facilitates training programs in classroom, field and on the job settings. The Training Officer is also involved in administering training needs assessments, assessing technical skills shortages, and in addressing these through tailored training programs.The Training Officer should also ensure the effectiveness of these programs by monitoring performance post-training. He/she also executes on audits and process improvement initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Excellence- Conducts several training programs such as: On-boarding, Technical Skills Training, Product or Equipment Training, Refresher Training, On-the-job or field Training, and other training programs needed by the Operations Team
- Plans, organizes and conducts the ENTECH On-boarding for all new Team Members
- Sets routine training schedules and minimum and maximum participant capacity to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the training program
- Coordinates with the Talent Acquisition Team for the list of new Team Members and their relevant employment details
- Prepares all materials needed for the training
- Ensures that all new Team Members undergo the Basic Technical On-boarding
- Manages attendance of all new Team Members assigned to him/her during the On-boarding Training
- Reports Training Attendance and observations to all stakeholders: Talent Acquisition Team, Organizational Development Team, Operations Director, Operations Managers or leaders of participants and Training and Innovation Team
- Coordinates and conducts product-related trainings, including presentation of new features and simulation activities for products and services
- Maintains a database and tracks Team Members’ attendance to all Training Programs conducted by the Training and Innovation Team and measures performance thereafter
- Shares training observations and other relevant information of Team Members during the training programs to their leaders and to the Organizational Development Team for further support and mentoring
- Plans, schedules and conducts refresher trainings and up-skilling trainings to all Core Team Members of the Operations Team
- Assists in improving and creating Technical training courses for all business verticals of the Operations Team – Integrated Pest Management, Professional Cleaning and Environmental Solutions
- Actively suggests and is involved in the development of the Training Programs for Operations through Training Needs Analysis and other post-training reviews
- Organizes and assists in the creation of workshops and training programs in different platforms such as online trainings, e-learning platforms and the like
- Manages learning resources by creating a repository of all learning materials and items used in the Training programs
- Ensures all Training materials remain relevant and correct and ensures that these are updated whenever necessary (e.g. updating of names of products and services, ensuring branding is implemented correctly, visuals and photos are relevant and recent)
- Gathers feedback from trainees and facilitators and uses this information when reviewing Training Programs
- Liaises with industry experts and studies new industry trends and products to keep updated with new approaches and techniques relevant to the business and shares this information with the Training and Innovation Manager for further deliberation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Entomology, Biology or any related course.
- Proven work experience as a Technical Training Officer, Technical Trainer or similar role
- Experience in developing technical course content both for novices and experts
- Qualification in instruction and/or learning design is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical or complex concepts using language that can be understood by any audience
- Knowledge and/or experience in the Pest Management industry is a plus
- Training and/or Audit experience in the industrial setting is preferred
- Knowledge of learning and teaching tools including web-based and e-learning platforms and other modern educational tools
- Working knowledge of online meeting tools such as Google Meets or Zoom and knowledgeable with office administrative tools (Microsoft Suite like Excel and PowerPoint)
