The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing regulatory and management reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and banking regulations. This role also supports audit activities, assists in budgeting processes, and contributes to the overall financial integrity and operational efficiency of the bank.

Accounting Operations

Checking and evaluation of daily GL transactions (transaction tickets and proof sheets) produced by the GL system
Approval of daily batch transactions postings to the GL system including CSV files (Mobile banking app transactions)
Approval of booking of loan releases to the GL the system
Preparation of month-end closing entries, including accruals, depreciations and amortizations
Supervises daily activities of the General Bookkeeper and Bookkeeper/Reconciler - Mobile Application

Internal Reporting (in coordination with Finance Manager)

Preparation and submission of daily report on Due from Banks balances
Preparation and submission of monthly Financial Statements, Financial Highlights and Financial Ratios
Assists the Finance/Accounting Manager in the preparation of reports to Senior Management

Regulatory Reporting (in coordination with Finance Manager and Compliance Officer)

Preparation and submission of API-XML BSP monthly/quarterly reports to BSP
Preparation and submission of quarterly, semi-annual reports to PDIC
Facilitates payment of semi-annual Insurance Premiums on Deposit Liabilities to PDIC
Preparation of required reports and schedules during BSP examinations
Preparation of required reports and schedules during annual External Audits
Assists the Finance/Accounting Manager on compliance with the requirements of Regulatory Bodies/Agencies

Finance Operations

Checking of supporting documents of expenses due for check disbursements and other pay out
Endorses approval on all transactions due for settlement/payments/remittance
Facilitates/coordinates with Senior Management necessary Fund Transfers between Due from Banks accounts to serve financial transactions/disbursements
Preparation of daily bank reconciliations of all Due from bank accounts and books necessary entries to eliminate float items
Prepares daily cash position reports for submission to Senior Management
Other tasks as assigned by the CFO
