JOB SUMMARY:

Support the development of OSH policies and programs. Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics. Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures. Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, and maintain all relevant OSH policies and procedures in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Continuously monitor and audit the operation of all OSH policies and procedures across the sites.
• Manage the delivery of all relevant/required OSH training (induction, refresher, and manual handling), for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Ensure proper and thorough reporting and investigation of the causes and circumstances of all significant OSH incidents, reportable accidents, dangerous occurrences, and major property damage
• Lead and manage the Risk Assessment program, regularly identifying, quantifying, and prioritizing all existing and potential OSH risks, including new product and process/equipment introduction, ensuring that appropriate and sustainable mitigation and corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Keep up-to-date with all relevant legislation/regulations changes or developments and ensure compliance promptly. Prepares and submit the following documents to OSH Regional Office/DOLE/BWC.
• Conduct internal OSH audits monthly, quarterly, and annually. Represent the company during outside Agency Audits or Inspections and liaise as required.
• Ensure that PPE requirements are available and that employees wear the mandatory PPE specified and work safely as defined in P.A. Properties and Development Corporation Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policy.
• Ensure safety signages are posted as necessary in strategic areas and proper maintenance is being observed.

Other Tasks:

• Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the company premises.
• Act in an advisory capacity in promoting safety, health, and wellness.
• Issue Work Stoppage Order (WSO) when necessary, based on the requirements and procedures provided by the OSH Standards.
• Oversee workplace repair, installations, and any other work that could harm employees’ safety.
• Actively support the company's effort in containing the spread of infectious disease in the workplace.
• Provide safety and health education to employees.
• Ensure clinic set up and availability of first aid medical supplies in all project sites and offices.
• Closely coordinate with company physician and company nurse for health-related issues and concerns of employees.
• Closely coordinate with Corporate Safety and Protection Department (Security) for the standard and updates on safety and security protocols of the company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of any 4-year course; preferably engineering or nursing course with BOSH/COSH Certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year work related experience in the same industry.
• Microsoft Office, Knowledgeable in OSH Processes such as Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC), Safety Program Audit (SPA), Emergency Procedures, Post Incident Analysis, etc.
• Good communication skills, decision making skills, negotiation making skills, time management skills and ability to maintain good work relationships with people from all social background.
