Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Practitioners

About the role

Isteel Inc. is seeking highly motivated Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Practitioners to join our team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis. As an OSH Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, contributing to the overall strategic objectives of our organisation.

1. Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive safety programs to identify, assess and mitigate workplace hazards
2. Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards
3. Providing training and education to employees on safe work practices, emergency response procedures and the use of personal protective equipment
4. Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
5. Maintaining detailed records and preparing reports on safety performance metrics
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into all business processes and projects
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest health and safety legislation, best practices and industry developments

1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
2. Minimum 1 year of experience as an OSH Practitioner, preferably in the construction industry and DOLE accredited
3. Thorough understanding of occupational safety and health regulations, risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage with employees at all levels
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
6. Proficient in the use of safety management software and data analysis tools
7. Certified as a Registered Safety Practitioner (RSP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable
