Description -
Require 1 Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) staff at HP Manila Philippines site based on required by The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the implementation of Republic Act No. 11058 also known as the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.Philippines qualification as Registered DOLE Level2 (2 Safety Officers required) or Registered DOLE Level3 (1 Safety Officer required).

Job Specification:
- Responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs:
- with the objective to proactively reduce risks and;
- ensure compliance with Philippines relevant EHS laws and regulations and HP EHS standards
- Work with the business units and Suppliers/contractors/Subcontractors to ensure the implementation of HP EHS management system and standards.
- Provides expertise to various business units, teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives/activities and EHS programs.
- Track, review, consult and implement EHS laws regulations, promulgated by country, province and local regulatory authorities for all work activities, including those at customer sites.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the site’s overall environmental health and safety program, performance and Dashboard are updated and in compliance with legal, company requirements at site and support remotely to EHS in APJ countries.
- Participate in regular meetings, communicate on the existing EHS issues, and work out action plan for existing EHS issues and ensure effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement.
- Organize and conduct regular EHS inspection to discover potential EHS risk, follow up relevant corrective actions till effective closure.
- Be responsible for all EHS licenses/Permit, convening Emergency Response Team members and implementing, conduct Emergency Drill and Response Plan.
- Be responsible for incident and injury reporting, investigating and corrective actions, and follow up corrective and preventive actions and ensure effective closure.
- Be responsible for identifying and forecasting EHS training needs and ensure the completion of EHS training for relevant employees.
- In charge of contractor/supplier management and ensure all contractor/supplier follow up HP EHS standards and requirements.
- Participate in the process of the project of office renovation and innovation to make sure these projects to meet HP EHS requirements and Philippines relevant EHS laws and regulation.
- Liaise with external authorities, such as the work safety bureau, fire bureau, and environmental protection bureau on EHS issues and is the point of contact for those external agencies.
- Coordinate and help solve relevant work safety, health and fire safety issues with the Facilities/Property Management Company, Landlord and Business Units.
- Good knowledge of the Philippines Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regulations on implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.
- University degree in science required, with safety engineering, environmental engineering or chemical engineering or safety engineering or mechanical engineering is recommended.
- Possess the Certificate required by The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the implementation of Republic Act No. 11058 also known as the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law. Philippines qualification as Registered DOLE Level 2 Safety Officer or Registered DOLE Level 3 Safety Officer
- In the implementation of OSH Program, safety officers shall be employed or designated with duties and responsibilities as Safety Officers (Level 2) and/or Safety Officer (Level 3) in the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law with 3-9 years of environmental, health and safety experience required.
- Good knowledge on implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Philippines Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) law.
- Good knowledge on implementing, understanding rules and regulations of the Safety and Health Standards related to Air Emission, Noise, Waste & Water, Industrial Hygiene, Workplace Ergonomic, Fire Safety, Training and ISO Systems.
- Qualified Lead auditor certificate for ISO 14k/45K Management System
- Trained and qualified in First Aider and good knowledge in Fire Safety management
- Certified Pollution Control Officer (DENR-EMB compliant) with hands-on experience in environmental compliance, monitoring, and regulatory reporting
- Desire certificates should preferably have:
- Certified Professional Ergonomist / Associate Ergonomics Professional or at least any local diploma in ergonomics.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist / Certificate Associate Industrial Hygienist or at least any local diploma in industrial hygiene
- ISO14K/OHSAS18K/ISO45K internal audit certificate with preferably certificate in training and adult learning – any local training would be accepted.
- Sound knowledge of EHS legislation as it relates to Philippines and relevant provinces.
