POSITION: VICE PRESIDENT FOR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Job Description:

Provide strategic guidance to the whole R&D Team in executing research and development projects as directed by top management.
Provide advice on how to structure the R&D Department to make it effective and efficient in conducting its activities.
Provide Technical guidance to the R&D Team on the science, properties and other attributes of different types of polymers such as: epoxied, polyurethanes, anaerobic, acrylics, silicones, and phenolic, PVAc, MS, polyimides and others.
Provide Technical guidance to the R&D Team on product development that includes compounding or reacting different polymers and materials to produce the desired adhesive, sealant, coating and other finished products.
Provide advice on the appropriate manufacturing equipment and process to produce the product which is the result of an R&D project.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualification (Education, Experience, Skills Certification, Specialized Training):

College graduate preferably degree course in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering , Material Science or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in a managerial level
Preferably from the adhesive & coating industry. Had successfully launched major commercial products in the adhesive/coatings in the market.

Preferred Skills

Thorough knowledge in the chemistry, technical function, research, applications and performance of raw materials & in the development of an adhesive, sealant and coating product.
Good development technique.
With Management and Leadership skills
