Job Title: Senior Architectural Draftsperson (onsite)
About the Role
ECAPro is hiring an Architectural Draftsperson to support one of our Australian residential clients. You will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and documentation for residential projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian standards.
We are ideally looking for candidates with New South Wales, Australia residential experience and ArchiCAD proficiency. However, strong candidates with Revit or AutoCAD experience and solid NSW experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed architectural drawings for:
- Preliminary Plans, Permit Plans, and Construction Plans
- Site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and schedules
- Ensure all drawings comply with Australian building standards and regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (engineers, certifiers, councils)
- Assist in securing building approvals and responding to authority requirements
- Review and check drawings to maintain high accuracy and quality
- Support 3D modelling and walkthrough presentations
- Address RFIs and update plans based on feedback or variations
- Maintain consistency across plans, documentation, and project requirements
- Licensed Architect or Architecture Graduate
- At least 5 years of proven experience in residential drafting (Australian projects preferred)
- NSW residential homes experience (highly preferred)
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD (preferred)
- Open to candidates with Revit or AutoCAD, provided strong NSW experience
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes and approval processes
- Experience coordinating with consultants and local authorities
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Good English communication skills
- Deliver preliminary plans within 2 working days
- Produce permit and construction drawings within required timelines
- Maintain low error rates and high accuracy standards
- Respond to RFIs within 1 working day
- Work with a reputable Australian home builder
