Accounting and Finance Manager (construction industry)

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee the company’s accounting, financial operations, and internal control functions in the Philippines.

This role will play a key part in supporting the company’s transition from outsourced accounting operations to a more internalized finance structure while ensuring compliance, transparency, and operational stability.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on accounting and finance management experience, preferably from a multinational or Japanese company environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting and finance operations
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget analysis
• Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and government agencies
• Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and financial controls
• Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
• Support the internalization of accounting functions from external consultants
• Work closely with management on financial planning and business strategies
• Supervise accounting staff and support team development
• Handle administrative and HR-related matters when necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• CPA is preferred
• With background in construction industry
• At least 10 years of accounting and finance experience
• With managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and compliance
• Experience in multinational or Japanese companies is an advantage
• Hands-on, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
• Strong leadership and communication skills
