• Minimum 2.5 years of Australian public practice experience in AU tax accounting.
• Proven accounting firm experience supporting SME to mid-market clients, including clients with approximately AUD 5M-10M annual turnover.
• Strong hands-on experience preparing financial statements, workpapers, and income tax returns.
• At least 12 months of direct experience supporting Australian clients or AU tax lodgments.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Australian tax legislation, Australian Taxation Office requirements, and tax compliance standards.
• Practical experience with BAS, GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A, and SMSF compliance.
• Strong background in tax compliance and advisory, with the ability to manage client engagements independently or with minimal guidance.
• Strong client communication skills, with the ability to explain tax matters clearly and professionally.

• Prepare and review Australian tax compliance workpapers, financial statements, and lodgments for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships, including BAS, income tax, FBT, GST, CGT, and PAYG
• Apply ATO policies, Australian tax legislation, and tax risk frameworks across all client engagements
• Manage client compliance queries independently or with senior guidance when needed
• Use leading Australian tax platforms including Xero Tax, HandiTax, CCH iFirm, and APS to deliver accurate, efficient tax compliance work
