Business Development Specialist
About the Role
The Business Development Specialist at Taft Properties supports the Vice President of Business Development in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and conducting market research. This role focuses on operational aspects of business development and contributes to the overall growth strategy of the company.
Responsibilities
Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify potential real estate development opportunities.
Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
Stakeholder Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and industry partners.
Facilitate meetings and communications with stakeholders to support business development objectives.
Financial Analysis:
Analysis in the preparation of financial models and feasibility studies for new projects.
Analyze project financials to ensure profitability and alignment with company goals.
Project Coordination:
Support the planning and execution of real estate development projects.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects milestones are met.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on business development activities and project progress.
Provide updates and recommendations to the Vice President of Business Development.
Other Support:
Perform other functions when deemed necessary.
Qualification for the Role:
- Ability to identify and resolve operational issues independently and seek guidance for more complex strategic problems.
- Make routine decision within established guidelines, and refer strategic decisions to the Vice President.
- Proficiency in market research and financial analysis
- Understanding or real estate development processes and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time-mamangement skills.
- Ability to manage multiples projects and priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or real estate development.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
