Machine Maintenance Technician

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations. This role supports equipment reliability while ensuring compliance with safety and food manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, equipment, and utilities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement necessary repairs.
• Conduct regular inspection of machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
• Assist in machine setup, installation, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and equipment history documentation.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to ensure machine availability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend replacement or procurement when necessary.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures, GMP, and food manufacturing standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or any related technical/vocational course.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in machine maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting industrial production equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety regulations is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and machine schematics.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays if needed.

Preferred Skills:

• PLC troubleshooting knowledge is an advantage.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
