Job Summary
Kitchen Stewards are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas. They support kitchen staff by ensuring that utensils, equipment, and workstations are clean, organized, and ready for daily operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, counters, storage areas, and garbage disposal areas
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff by preparing workstations, peeling, washing, and cutting basic ingredients if required
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain recycling and trash protocols
- Ensure proper storage of clean and sanitized kitchen tools and supplies
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed
- Follow health, hygiene, and safety regulations strictly
- Support kitchen staff during peak hours by performing assigned tasks efficiently
