Senior Bookkeeper – U.S. Accounting
About the Role
Boogie Team is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing U.S.-based company.
In this role, you will manage the company’s day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, collections, accounts payable, payroll support, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting. You will work closely with company leadership and communicate with clients, vendors, contractors, and external accounting partners as needed.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, confident using QuickBooks Online, and comfortable taking ownership of financial records and processes. The right candidate should be able to identify discrepancies, follow up on outstanding payments, and help maintain accurate and reliable financial information.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including transaction categorization, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Prepare and send client invoices accurately and according to the billing schedule.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up directly with clients regarding overdue balances.
- Track accounts payable and coordinate vendor, contractor, payroll, and recurring business payments.
- Maintain accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Review billing records, payments, and account balances to identify discrepancies or missing transactions.
- Support tax preparation, financial documentation, and other bookkeeping or finance-related administrative tasks.
- At least 3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience managing invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience supporting month-end closing and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Comfortable handling collections and communicating directly with U.S.-based clients.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial information.
- Reliable computer equipment, internet connection, and availability during U.S. Pacific business hours.
- Experience supporting a U.S.-based company, agency, startup, or professional services business.
- Familiarity with Stripe, PayPal, payroll platforms, or other online payment systems.
- Experience with contractor payments, recurring billing, or prepaid client accounts.
- Familiarity with multi-entity bookkeeping.
- Experience creating bookkeeping workflows, SOPs, or internal financial processes.
