Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Summary

GEMS Global is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of meat products throughout storage, handling, and distribution processes. The role is responsible for maintaining food safety standards, monitoring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor and record storage temperatures for chilled and frozen meat products.
• Conduct inspections of incoming, stored, and outgoing products.
• Verify product quality, labeling accuracy, shelf life, and compliance with specifications.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards, including GMP and HACCP.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, and cold chain management practices.
• Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate quality assurance records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure product quality standards are met.
• Assist in internal audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety and quality assurance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Biology, Microbiology, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work onsite in Mandaue City, Cebu.

• Knowledge of meat processing, cold storage, or food manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with product traceability, shelf-life monitoring, and cold chain management.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
