Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is to oversee the repair and preventive maintenance of our wood processing and metal roll forming production lines. And, to ensure that our machinery—including multi-rip saws, bandsaws, and LGS roll formers—operates at peak efficiency to meet our construction supply demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Wood Processing machines and Metal Roll Forming machines.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Regularly calibrate roll forming stations to ensure metal profiles meet exact structural specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement timely solutions
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including motors, control panels, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in maintenance or a related field
• Completed a 2-year course in Industrial Technology (Mechanical/Electrical)
• Certified in EIM (Electrical Installation and Maintenance) and/or Holder of NCII (National Certificate II)
• Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

• Reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious
• Strong understanding and/ or interest towards secondary wood processing equipment, and cold forming processes and hydraulic shearing systems
• Ability to work in a factory environment and handle heavy machine parts when necessary
