Job Description
The Investment Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing complex financial analyses, valuations, and investment strategies that align with the organization’s long-term goals. As a key member of the Treasury and Investments team, the role demands minimal supervision and entails making significant contributions to high-level decision-making through strategic insights and advanced financial modeling.The Investment Manager also mentors the team, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables across different business units.
Financial Reporting and Analysis- Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, thoroughness, and strategic relevance.
- Conduct advanced financial analysis for assigned business units, identifying trends and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Present findings to senior management (e.g., BOD, EXCOM, MANCOM) with clear recommendations that align with organizational goals.
- Develop complex financial models and perform in-depth valuations for large-scale expansions, M&A projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead the preparation of investment analyses and recommendations, delivering insights that guide high-level business decisions.
- Conduct comprehensive post-mortem analyses and lookbacks to evaluate the success of investment projects, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead the preparation and continuous updating of the 10-Year Warchest, aligning capital allocation with long-term organizational strategy.
- Collaborate with Country Teams and business leaders to validate forecasts and ensure cohesive planning across divisions.
- Advise on capital allocation decisions, balancing risk and return to optimize portfolio performance.
- Provide research support for Treasury and Risk & Commodity teams, particularly in data collection and analysis of key economic indicators.
- Assist in scenario planning and financial analyses to support tactical and strategic initiatives across business units.
- Maintain organized records of financial data and analysis for reference and audit purposes.
- Undertake additional tasks and analyses as directed by the VP Treasury and Investments or AVP Finance, Investments.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the Investment Supervisor and Investment Specialist, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment of deliverables across the team, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency in financial analyses and reports.
- Promote skill development within the team, preparing them for more advanced responsibilities.
- Partner with executives and cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Treasury) to align financial insights with strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a key resource for senior stakeholders, providing expert financial advice and analysis for high-impact decisions.
- Actively contribute to discussions on organizational strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to shape long-term goals.
Qualifications
Education:
- A graduate of any of the following degree: Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong preference for MBA graduates
Experience:
- At least seven (7) years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or deal advisory roles with a top-tier bank or Big Four, with significant involvement in M&A transactions, due diligence, and capital raising.
- Proven ability to lead and execute complex financial analyses, valuations, and strategic initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments with flexibility and efficiency.
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills, with the capacity to deliver strategic insights to senior management.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and boards.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence, work ethic, and independent decision-making.
- Willingness to travel and collaborate with colleagues across domestic and international operating sites.
- A self-starter, continuous learner, and independent thinker who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
