Core ResponsibilitiesData Processing: Collect and verify timesheets, input payroll data, and calculate overtime, bonuses, and deductions.Payment Issuance: Prepare and distribute paychecks or manage direct deposits.Record Maintenance: Update employee records for salary changes, tax exemptions, and insurance deductions.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to tax laws, prepare reports on earnings/taxes for management, and assist with audits.Inquiry Resolution: Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions regarding pay or benefits.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills:
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.Mathematical Proficiency: Strong numeracy skills to calculate taxes, benefits, and deductions accurately.Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry to prevent payroll errors.Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information.Education: A high school diploma is generally required, with some employers preferring an associate degree in accounting or related field.
