We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead efforts in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving growth in retail and agribusiness sales and marketing. The role requires someone with strong technical and business acumen who can support the company’s objectives by developing innovative strategies, fostering partnerships, and promoting products and services.

The candidate must be amenable to work onsite in Libis, Quezon City, and travel to Teresa, Rizal, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
  • Research and identify new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services, with a focus on retail and agribusiness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential customers, partners, sponsors, and donors, ensuring repeat business and exploring new opportunities.
  • Generate leads, conduct cold calls, and manage a structured sales pipeline.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their requirements.
  • Strategically analyze and implement plans to expand market reach and enhance the company’s footprint in key industries.
  • Develop and negotiate client contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and goals.
  • Lead and support bid-writing efforts for grants and contracts.
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in retail and agribusiness to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Sales and Marketing Orientation
  • Plan and execute sales and marketing campaigns to drive growth in retail and agribusiness sectors.
  • Negotiate pricing with customers and suppliers where applicable.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance analyses, and reports to senior management.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
Collaboration and Training
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as marketing, finance, warehousing, and logistics to ensure seamless operations and improved client satisfaction.
  • Train team members on new strategies, arranging external training when necessary.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing technical and business insights.
Customer and Quality Focus
  • Ensure excellent customer care, providing effective solutions to address customer concerns and enhance their experience.
  • Create and maintain quality standards for products and services.
  • Gather feedback from customers and partners to refine business strategies and improve service delivery.
Networking and Research
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events to build the company’s network and profile in the retail and agribusiness sectors.
  • Research industry trends and competitor activities to refine and innovate business strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or in a similar role within retail and agribusiness sales and marketing.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong market knowledge of the retail and agribusiness sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer care and focus; ability to assess customers' needs and provide correct answer, path, troubleshooting or method for a positive customers' experience
  • Proficiency in English
Work Conditions
  • Location: Onsite in Libis, Quezon City.
  • Travel: Must be amenable to travel to Teresa, Rizal, as required.
