Mechanical Engineer

• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly accomplishment reports as well as weekly productivity reports.
• Prepares and updates monitoring charts regularly.
• Issues non-conformance notice to subcontractors for each non-conformance discovered.
• Assists the project team in ensuring good housekeeping within the project site.
• Ensures that the company’s safety and security program is properly implemented.
• Coordinates with the structural and architectural supervisors and contractors in relation to MEFS installations.
• Reviews the MEPFS plans.
• Reports discrepancies between MEPFS and architectural/structural plans to the Site Manager or TSG Head and shall monitor and follow-up the resolution of the problems or discrepancies.
• Coordinates the timely preparation of Installation Services Drawings (ISD).
• Facilitates, together with the TSG Head, the preparation of Combined Services Drawings (CSD).
• Coordinates the requisition, issuances, and the timely delivery of required materials on site.
• Evaluates subcontractor billings.
• Evaluates subcontractor proposals.
• Facilitates the preparation of necessary documents (e.g., IWR—Installation Work Request) from the QA/QC Department prior to installation of the works.
• Performs quality assessment of installations through daily observation and inspection.
• Serves as witness to testing of materials and systems.
• Facilitates the testing and commissioning of MEPFS installations and systems.
• Recommends value engineering or cost-saving measures to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
• Prepares and submits necessary reports required by the Management. Qualification and Skills Requirement

Educational Attainment:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional license is required.

Work Experience:

• At least 1–3 years’ experience in construction

Technical Competencies:

• General understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, electrical codes and plumbing codes as they relate to construction of project.
• Knowledgeable in testing and commissioning.
• Proficiency in reading and analyzing construction plans and drawings particularly.
• Proficiency in MEP-related software.
