Key Account Manager – Modern Trade

Job Description
We are looking for a highly driven and results-oriented Key Account Manager to manage and grow our Modern Trade business across key retail channels. This role is responsible for strengthening relationships with major accounts, driving sales performance, and ensuring excellent in-store execution to maximize business growth.
The ideal candidate has strong experience handling supermarkets, convenience stores, and drugstore accounts, with the ability to develop strategic partnerships and execute programs that deliver measurable results.Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain strong relationships with assigned Modern Trade Accounts
- Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of sales targets
- Coordinate with buyers and account representatives regarding promotions, product listings, and inventory concerns
- Develop and implement account-specific business strategies and growth plans
- Ensure proper execution of merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities in stores
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment to avoid out-of-stock situations
- Prepare sales reports, business reviews, and account updates
- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within assigned accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing to support account requirements
- Conduct regular store visits and market checks to monitor competitor activities and brand performance
- At least 2–3 years of experience handling Modern Trade Accounts
- Strong knowledge in managing accounts such as supermarkets, convenience stores, and drugstores
- Background in sales, account management, and business development
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to analyze sales performance, inventory movement, and market trends
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple accounts
- Willing to do field work and client visits
