What you'll do:
Quality Assurance and Improvement Program- Develop and/or improve the quality assurance and improvement program and manual for CIA
- Execute quality assurance reviews of completed assurance/advisory projects to assess conformance with audit methodology, regulatory expectations, and applicable standards, and effectively communicate to stakeholders
- Keep the CIA team updated on changes related to industry and regulatory requirements, guidance, and pronouncements relevant to internal audit
- Collaborate with CIA members to identify and contribute to the development of continuous improvement opportunities, including enhancement of the Internal Audit Manual and methodologies used by CIA
- Identify or develop training requirements based on the results of quality assurance reviews
- Respond to any inquiries raised by Project Leads and Auditors in relation to methodologies
- Initiate preparation of AC meeting materials and coordinate with the CIAE, Section Heads and Project Leads to obtain relevant information at project level
- Discuss and align the content/outline of presentation materials with the CIAE
- Prepare the minutes of meeting to be submitted to Legal and Compliance for review
- Provide quality review of the audit universe of the different CIA sections
- Assist in the development of the annual audit plans considering the requirements of the Global IIA Standards
- Assist in Monitoring outstanding issues and action plans and identify areas where escalation or management assistance is needed
- Provide monthly reporting of the outstanding action plans to stakeholders
- Provide reports on issue and action plan tracking to the AC
- Participate in the development and implementation of the structured stakeholder relationship plan
- Develop good working relationships with the CIA team members of changes in Global IIA standards and emerging IIA issues
- Develop rapport with the different business units through regular communication and gathering of feedback to improve the value of the CIA
- Liaise with the internal audit community and other professional organizations to contribute to the implementation of an effective and efficient quality assurance and improvement program
- Coordinate and monitor audits being performed by other assurance providers, external auditors, and regulators
- Take the initiative in improving self through classroom, online and on-the-job trainings
- Proactively contribute to the development of the team through coaching, training and providing timely feedback to junior staff
- Cascade relevant learning or conduct training to share knowledge with the team as part of continuous learning
- Monitor compliance of the team with Team and Personal development goals
- Prepare and/or update relevant sections of the audit manuals and audit templates to ensure compliance with the Global Internal Audit Standards
- Implement the Global IIA Standards within audit management system used by the CIA
- Take initiative of knowing and understanding relevant regulatory requirements that would impact the company
- Perform special projects and advisory initiatives
- Extend support to other audit teams, when necessary
- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the Chief Internal Audit Executive to meet operational and/or other requirements
- At least five (5) years of internal audit or other relevant experience*
- Has good understanding of Global Internal Audit Standards*
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)*
- Experience in Quality Assurance and Improvement Program is strongly preferred.
- Experience from the top four (4) auditing firms (i.e., EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG) is an advantage.
- Professional licenses or certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI etc.) is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet milestones within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Solid problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions.
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly and capable of multi-tasking.
