We're looking for an L2 Application Support Engineer to join our growing team in Alabang. If you have experience in application production support, SQL, incident management, and troubleshooting enterprise applications, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Provide Level 2 support for business-critical applications and production environments.
- Investigate and resolve application incidents escalated from L1 support within agreed SLAs.
- Perform troubleshooting using application logs, SQL queries, and system diagnostics.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend permanent solutions for recurring issues.
- Implement approved application configuration changes and minor fixes.
- Coordinate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business users to resolve complex issues.
- Monitor application health, system performance, and scheduled batch jobs.
- Support application deployments, production releases, and post-go-live activities.
- Maintain accurate incident records, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in UAT and post-release validation.
- Identify opportunities to automate support activities and improve operational processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in Application Support and Production Support
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Proven experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and documenting findings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of SQL and database queries
- Experience analyzing application logs and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, HDA, or similar)
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Willing to work Full Onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa (Day Shift)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
- Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical applications
- Exposure to application deployments or release management
