The Ethical Butcher, Inc. is hiring an Inventory Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels across the organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient allocation of stock, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting cost-effective inventory control strategies.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate Inventory and Resources
Evaluate and distribute inventory across multiple locations or departments to ensure efficient storage, organization, and material usage.
  • Monitor and Document Inventory Discrepancies
Analyze inventory reports to identify losses, overages, and shortages. Record and investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate Supply Chain Operations
Oversee and support inventory-related activities across the supply chain, including tracking inbound and outbound shipments, warehouse movements, and material usage.
  • Forecast Demand
Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Procurement teams to forecast product demand and align inventory planning accordingly.
  • Place and Track Orders
Initiate purchase or stock transfer orders as needed, based on current levels and projected demand. Use inventory management systems to track orders and monitor replenishment timelines.
  • Generate Inventory Reports
Prepare regular inventory performance reports and dashboards for management review, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain Inventory System Accuracy

Ensure the ERP or inventory management system is regularly updated with accurate item codes, descriptions, stock quantities, and location data.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in inventory control or supply chain operations
  • Exposure to data analysis or demand forecasting
  • Background in warehouse or logistics environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Familiarity with inventory audits and reconciliation of discrepancies
