PROJECT MEPF ENGINEER
JOB SUMMARY
The Project MEPF Engineer oversees mechanical works by reviewing contract provisions, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring implementation of corrective actions based on quality standards. They conduct daily inspections of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems to verify compliance with approved plans, codes, and regulations, while maintaining thorough documentation of inspections and reports.They coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to address technical issues, avoid installation conflicts, and ensure project milestones and client requirements are met effectively.
Mechanical Works Supervision- Should study and review the provisions and specifications in the contract;
- Constantly monitors construction progress vis-à-vis the timelines specified in the inspection report;
- Checks on the implementation of agreed rectifications/corrections based on acceptable quality standards;
- Supervises the corrective measures through regular site inspection and monitoring; Prepares progress reports and summary of deviations (if any) for the reference of the PIC and Technical Head;
- Keeps documentations of all reports such as RFA’s & RFI’s, MSDS & TDS of Material and Approved Plans and Shop drawings.
- Ensure the requirements of the Elevators, Generator Sets, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Sanitary, and Fire Protection in accordance with the specification and plans and standard installation procedures are followed.
- Verify completeness of Mechanical plans, details, and specifications.
- Conducts inspection of all works stated in Item No. 2 and maintains special inspection documentation for the project.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct design reviews and participate in product validation and certification processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and technicians to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Architects, Electrical Engineers, and Civil Engineers to avoid as well as resolve various installation conflicts.
- College Degree Holder of Mechanical Engineering and a Licensure Exam Passer
- Must have over Two (2) years of experience as Project MPF.
- Knowledge in MS Excel and CAD Programs.
- Ability to simultaneously process information.
- Strong understanding of building codes, fire codes, regulations, and construction techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Understand complicated concepts (e.g. identifying a problem situation and finding a solution, troubleshooting of equipment, answering common customer problems, solving recurring workplace problems)
