Chief Engineer PME

The Chief Engineer leads the engineering team, implements preventive maintenance programs, ensures regulatory compliance, manages projects, and maintains high standards of safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering and maintenance activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Manage the operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Minimize equipment downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

• Supervise, train, and develop engineering and maintenance personnel.
• Prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance.
• Ensure compliance with engineering procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide technical guidance.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, safety regulations, and government requirements.
• Maintain permits, licenses, and required engineering documentation.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Implement emergency response procedures.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and protective gear.

• Oversee renovation, installation, repair, and improvement projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Review technical plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor project timelines, quality, and costs.
• Recommend improvements for energy efficiency and facility performance.

• Prepare and manage engineering department budgets.
• Control maintenance expenses and optimize operational costs.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Review quotations and contractor proposals.
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities.

• Prepare engineering reports, maintenance records, and operational summaries.
• Maintain equipment history and service documentation.
• Provide technical recommendations to management.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.

• Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of engineering and maintenance experience, with at least 3 years of proven experience as a Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or similar supervisory role is required.
• Extensive experience in mechanical systems, HVAC operations, building facilities, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in hotels, resorts, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, or large-scale properties is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, safety regulations, and facility management practices.
