IT Project Management Specialist

The IT Project Management Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating technology-related projects across the organization. This role ensures that IT initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
The specialist works closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to manage project lifecycles, mitigate risks, and ensure successful implementation of IT solutions.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects from initiation to closure from small to mid-scale projects.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and standards.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to management.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units.
- Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), infrastructure projects, and
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detailed knowledge of workflow and process control software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in basic MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Visio and Project to be utilized in devising QA processes.
- Ability to document business requirements and functional specifications.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and business representatives.
- Ability to provide technical training to end users.
