About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Compliance Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing for our growing offshore workforce. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely payroll delivery while maintaining full compliance with Philippine employment regulations.
You will also serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries, helping improve overall payroll experience and reducing escalations to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Payroll Processing- Process fortnightly payroll accurately and on time through Eezi HRMS.
- Review timesheets and attendance records to verify overtime, night differential, and complex holiday pay calculations.
- Prepare payroll summaries and reports for management review and external accountants.
- Maintain comprehensive employee records and manage onboarding payroll setup for new hires.
- Process, monitor, and reconcile statutory requirements: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR.
- Manage government loan deductions (Salary, Calamity, MPL) and update records accordingly.
- Process terminations, final pay calculations, and separation pay requirements.
- Own year-end requirements, including 13th-month pay, Alphalist preparation, and annual tax reporting.
- Act as the go-to person for all employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Investigate and quickly resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Explain pay calculations, deductions, and leave accruals to employees with a helpful, friendly attitude.
What We Are Looking For
Must-Haves (Essential Experience):
- The Background: Minimum 3 years of solid Philippine payroll experience processing for 50+ employees.
- The Technical Core: A bulletproof understanding of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR withholding tax, 13th-month pay, leave conversions, and final pay calculations.
- The Independence: Ability to accurately calculate standard payroll (daily/hourly rates, pro-rations), premium pay (night diff, OT, rest days, complex holidays), and handle government remittances independently.
- The Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- The Vibe: A bright, conversational, and energetic personality. You must genuinely love interacting with people and explaining things clearly!
Highly Preferred (Bonus Points):
- Prior experience within a BPO or offshore staffing environment.
- Experience facing or collaborating directly with Australian clients.
- Hands-on experience with payroll software implementation or system administration.
- Deep knowledge of shift-based, 24/7 payroll environments.

Location: Cebu City, Philippines (Onsite/In-Office)
Schedule: Australian Time Zone (6AM to 4PM Manila Time)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: PHP 40,000 – PHP 50,000 per month
