Job Summary

The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of construction projects to ensure timely completion, cost efficiency, quality workmanship, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The role manages project teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction activities to project turnover and handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction activities of assigned projects.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Review and evaluate construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with approved plans, building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings to monitor work progress and address issues affecting project timelines and quality.
  • Review contractors' accomplishments, billing claims, variation orders, and change requests.
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure project readiness and compliance with specifications.
  • Manage project punch listing, turnover, and handover processes.
  • Prepare and submit project status reports, progress updates, and recommendations to Management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in construction and project management.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within real estate and property development.
  • Experience in handling horizontal and/or vertical development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project scheduling, contract administration, cost control, and quality management.
  • Familiarity with Philippine building codes, construction regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficient in project management and construction monitoring tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel to project sites and conduct field inspections as needed.
