Plant General Manager

ARB Laboratories Inc. is a toll and contract manufacturing company serving clients across various industries. We are seeking an experienced Plant General Manager to lead overall plant operations, profitability, productivity, and the continued growth of our manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, develop competitive manufacturing cost structures, improve plant efficiency, evaluate new business opportunities, and foster a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all plant operations, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other support functions.
• Ensure consistent achievement of production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, and profitability objectives.
• Establish operational goals, KPIs, and performance standards across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, quality systems, and operational procedures.

• Develop, review, and approve manufacturing cost models and tolling quotations.
• Evaluate new projects in terms of capacity, manpower requirements, equipment utilization, operational feasibility, and profitability.
• Work closely with management in developing competitive pricing strategies while ensuring sustainable margins.
• Assess manufacturing capabilities and recommend solutions to support customer requirements and business growth.

• Drive initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize manpower deployment, production scheduling, workflow, and equipment utilization.
• Lead cost reduction, waste elimination, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

• Build a culture of accountability, discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Lead supervisors, managers, and production personnel in achieving operational goals.
• Drive implementation of new systems, procedures, and performance standards.
• Manage organizational change effectively while maintaining employee engagement and operational stability.
• Develop and strengthen leadership capabilities within the organization.

• Recommend operational improvements, capital investments, equipment upgrades, and expansion opportunities.
• Develop short- and long-term plans to improve plant performance and support business growth.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on operational performance and improvement opportunities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or other related field.
• A Professional License (PRC) is an advantage but not required.
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role in a Food, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care, Home Care, Cosmetics, or Chemical Manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing a manufacturing facility, plant, business unit, or multi-department operation
• Strong background in manufacturing costing, quotation development, profitability analysis, and capacity planning.
• Demonstrated success in improving productivity, efficiency, operational performance, and cost competitiveness.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, workforce management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience implementing KPIs, systems, controls, and performance management programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Experience in toll manufacturing or contract manufacturing environments
• Background in food, pharmaceutical, personal care, home care, cosmetics, or chemical manufacturing industries
• Working knowledge of GMP, ISO, HACCP, or other recognized quality management systems
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement programs
