Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role involves market analysis, client relationship management, sales execution, and cross-functional collaboration to support end-to-end operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, agents, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals and targets
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure
- Collaborate with purchasing, supply chain, and warehouse teams to support operations from importation to delivery fulfilment
- Track performance metrics, prepare reports, maintain relevant internal trackers, and provide forecasts to management committee
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, bazaars, conferences, and other networking opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in cold chain, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain.
- Strong understanding of cold chain operations, temperature-controlled storage, and refrigerated transportation.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare business cases, and develop strategic plans.
