COMMIS I PASTRY

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and quality standards.
  2. Assist in daily mise en place, including measuring, mixing, and preparing ingredients for pastry production.
  3. Ensure all pastry items are presented attractively and consistently before serving or display.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, workstations, and equipment at all times.
  5. Monitor freshness and proper storage of ingredients, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  6. Support senior pastry chefs in developing new dessert items and seasonal menu offerings.
  7. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or repair needs immediately.
  8. Assist in inventory checks, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to help control food costs.
  9. Follow kitchen schedules, production timelines, and instructions efficiently during service and events.
  10. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of pastry products.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in a hotel, café, restaurant, or bakery.
  2. Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
  3. Ability to manage kitchen operations, inventory, and food cost control effectively
  4. Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to develop new pastry concepts and seasonal desserts.
  5. Excellent leadership, teamwork, and time management skills with attention to detail.
