Job Description:
The Finance and Accounting Specialist is responsible for the management of the overall Finance and Accounting Office operations. This position is primarily responsible for the following:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets,
- Supervise the daily accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are properly
recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company
policies.- Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, subsidiary ledgers, and general ledger
- Ensure full compliance with taxation requirements, statutory obligations, and financial
- Establish, monitor, and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard company assets and
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and budget utilization to support operational and strategic
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, government agencies, banks, and other
- Provide management with sound financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic insights to
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of accounting staff to ensure efficiency,
productivity, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong scholastic credentials.
- Minimum of 3–5 years relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Philippine taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory
- Proficient in accounting systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership ability with proven experience in team supervision and performance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure.
- Trustworthy, dependable, and capable of handling highly confidential financial information.
