JOB PURPOSE
The Sales Director is responsible for leading the company’s overall sales strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, and expanding market share across key industries such as water, wastewater, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure. This role oversees all sales operations including strategic planning, market development, team leadership, customer management, and performance optimization.The Sales Director works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives, profitability targets, and market competitiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term sales strategies aligned with business goals
- Define industry-focused segmentation (utilities, construction, manufacturing, HVAC, etc.)
- Lead go-to-market strategies for pump products, spare parts, and service solutions
- Identify opportunities for bundled solutions (supply + installation + maintenance)
- Optimize sales channels including projects, distributors, and direct accounts
- Build scalable sales models to support growth and expansion
- Identify and penetrate new markets and industry segments
- Drive project-based selling and participation in major developments
- Acquire strategic accounts including contractors, developers, and industrial clients
- Strengthen distribution networks and regional presence
- Promote cross-selling of pumps, spare parts, repair, and maintenance services
- Build a strong pipeline for both project and aftermarket sales
- Develop pricing strategies aligned with project requirements and service offerings
- Ensure profitability across equipment sales, parts, and services
- Monitor margins, bid pricing, and cost structures for projects
- Align sales forecasts with project timelines and financial targets
- Implement disciplined discounting and approval processes
- Balance revenue growth with margin protection
- Lead and structure a high-performing sales team (project sales, key accounts, service sales)
- Define territories, account assignments, and industry focus areas
- Drive hiring, workforce planning, and team development

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) preferred
- Business or related degree with strong industry experience may be considered
- MBA or postgraduate degree is an advantage
Experience:
- 12–15 years of progressive sales experience in pumps, fluid handling, or industrial equipment
- 8–12 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven success in project sales, trading, and service-based business models
- Experience handling key accounts, contractors, and industrial clients
