Analyze production and operational costs, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
Prepare and maintain cost reports, cost standards, and cost allocations.
Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, and explain discrepancies.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost estimates and historical data.
Collaborate with the accounting department during month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and implement cost accounting systems and tools to improve reporting accuracy.
Monitor and report on cost trends for products, materials, and labor.
Work with department heads to review cost structures and identify improvement opportunities.
Assist in pricing decisions by providing cost-based recommendations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certification is a plus.
Proven experience (2-3 years) in cost analysis, financial planning, or related field.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial modeling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
