Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting Manager - NIGHT SHIFT

  • Reports To: US Leadership & Country Manager

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and managing client relationships. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and client management skills to support accounting teams in delivering high-quality financial services.

The Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting Manager will also collaborate daily with the Bogota office and US-based clients.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Task Execution
  • Supervise the execution of all contracted and assigned tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Implement reporting mechanisms to monitor progress and identify potential risks.
  • Manage and optimize team assignments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Client Management & Relationship Building
  • Act as the primary contact for US-based clients, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to provide updates, onboard new tasks, and address concerns.
  • Co-own client relationships with the team, collectively ensuring excellent service delivery.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Build and assign teams based on project requirements and employee skills.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, providing feedback and guidance for employee development.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee training, development, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Enforce employee management policies, including time tracking, attendance, and adherence to company guidelines.
Operational Coordination & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with the Bogota office daily to assign work, strategize workforce planning, and align efforts.
  • Engage with other senior managers and upper management to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring decisions to strengthen the team.
Workforce & Capacity Management
  • Work with US Account Managers to assess team capacity and ensure workload distribution is optimized.
  • Monitor and analyze workforce data to assess accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting-related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Exposure to US GAAP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and leadership at all levels.
  • Experience in monitoring and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and coach employees for high performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with teams across different locations.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred but not required.
  • A post-graduate degree is a plus.
