The Oscar M. Lopez Center is committed to continuously improving its operational efficiency, strengthening information security, and advancing the use of technology to support its programs and institutional functions. As the Center’s operations become increasingly reliant on digital systems and platforms, there is a pressing need to engage a Technology Strategy & Systems Consultant (IT Consultant) to provide specialized technical expertise in assessing the Center’s current IT environment and provide strategic, actionable recommendations.

The engagement of an IT Consultant will address several critical needs:

• IT Systems Assessment and Optimization: Conducting a comprehensive review of the Center’s existing IT infrastructure, systems, and workflows, and providing actionable recommendations to improve performance, integration, reliability, and overall operational efficiency.
• Cybersecurity and Data Protection Enhancement: Assessing current security protocols and recommending appropriate measures to strengthen data protection, reduce system vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with relevant data privacy standards and information security best practices.
• Digital Transformation Support: Providing technical expertise in identifying suitable technology solutions that will enhance efficiency, accessibility, collaboration, and scalability across the Center’s operations and support functions.
• IT Policy and Infrastructure Advisory Support: Providing technical consultation on IT infrastructure maintenance, system mapping, and overall IT governance. Supporting the development or enhancement of IT policies, standards, and protocols to strengthen system management and operational efficiency.
• AI Readiness and Opportunities Assessment: Conducting an assessment of the organization’s readiness for AI adoption and identifying high-impact AI use cases to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Providing recommendations on suitable AI tools, platforms, and implementation opportunities, while identifying potential risks related to data privacy, ethical considerations, and misuse.
