JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Associate supports growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and assisting in sales initiatives. This role involves market research, outreach, and collaboration with teams to drive revenue and expand the company’s market presence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market Research: Perform regular market checks (physical retail and e-commerce) with a specific focus on character / licensed products; collate competitor information for licensed products; recommend new brands, categories or products according to management's licensing direction and strategy.
  • Client profiling: Research and identify local manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and retailers who can partner with the company.
  • Leads Generation: Find and develop clients across a wide range of channels (e.g. cold-calling, email, Linkedin, site visit, etc.); initiate and join sales calls to help the Merchandise Licensing Manager drive buy-in of different brands; serve as an additional point of contact for clients' presales concerns.
  • Pitch Development: Assist in the development of product pitches, inspiration boards, and other creative decks for presentation to internal management and external clients.
  • Database Management: Maintain file lists of potential and existing clients with their business information; update file lists regularly.
  • Aftersales Fulfillment: Assist in the resolution of aftersales concerns as necessary (e.g. documentation, logistics, marketing, etc.)
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate of Business Administration/ Commerce/ Marketing or other related courses

Experience: FRESH GRADUATE or with experience.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills; effective in presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and spoken business English
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Passion for general pop culture (i.e. anime, gaming, movies, comics) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of graphic design (e.g. Adobe, Canva, Gimp) is a plus
  • B2B selling experience in different areas of Metro Manila as needed.
