A Chief Engineer leads the engineering department, overseeing all technical operations, maintenance, and personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations
Qualifications/Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a MARINA-accredited institution
- Graduate of BS Marine Engineering with seagoing experience are highly preferred
- Valid Chief Engineer License issued by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) under the STCW Convention
- With updated Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Certificates
- Experiences as an Engineer Officer, including years as a Chief Engineer on vessels, bargers, or marine equipment
- Experienced in engine room management, machinery maintenance, and vessel operation
