HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER for BE Resorts Mactan in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.

PURPOSE

Direct overall operation and coordination of the Housekeeping Department in compliance with established housekeeping policies and standards of the hotel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Direct the functions of administration and planning of the housekeeping department to meet the daily needs of the operations
  2. Ensure that decisions made correspond with established policies
  3. Establish policies and procedures with Front Office for quick turnover of rooms and for productive and profitable result in room sales
  4. Establish policies and procedures and schedule with Engineering department for an effective and quick turnover of rooms and public area which are under repair and maintenance
  5. Assist the section heads to establish and achieve departmental objectives
  6. Have effective control of guest supplies, operating equipment, cleaning supplies and labor cost
  7. Evaluate performance of employees
  8. Develop career-enhancing programs for staff
  9. Oversee the department’s skills training program
  10. Conduct daily operations briefing with supervisors, team leaders and conduct monthly meetings
  11. Conduct daily inspection of all housekeeping areas to ensure that hotel standards and procedures are undertaken and maintained
  12. Prepare annual housekeeping departmental budget
  13. Monitor and control department expenses versus budget
  14. Ensure that emergency and safety procedures are adhered to by all housekeeping staff
  15. Review and act on guest comment on services provided by housekeeping
  16. Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • college graduate preferably HRM, Tourism or related courses
  • six to eight years’ experience in housekeeping with 2 years as Assistant Executive Housekeeper in a hotel
  • knowledgeable in all areas of Rooms, Public Area, linen and laundry in relation to procedures, techniques and methods of control management and planning
  • Must have a strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player and team builder with good people skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
