Sales Manager - Manila
Position Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations of products and services throughout the country. This role requires an experienced and motivated leader to drive sales growth, develop strategic relationships, and manage a high-performing sales team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, preferably in the veterinary or animal nutrition industries, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and fostering a collaborative sales culture.
Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a national sales strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives. This includes identifying market opportunities, defining sales targets, and creating plans to achieve them.
Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of regional sales managers and field sales representatives. Provide coaching and support to enhance performance, improve sales skills, and foster a high level of motivation.Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales performance, develop accurate sales forecasts, and provide regular updates to senior management. Take corrective actions where necessary to meet or exceed sales goals.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including small to medium scale feed mills, swine/layer farms, and distribution partners. Act as a point of escalation for customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and identify areas for competitive advantage.Training and Development: Oversee the onboarding and ongoing training of the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
Collaboration with Marketing and Product Teams: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment between sales and marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
Budget and Expense Management: Manage sales budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize return on investment. Monitor travel, training, and sales-related expenses.
Sales Reporting and Analytics: Provide detailed sales reports and performance analysis to senior management, identifying key trends and areas for improvement. Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics platforms to track team performance.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced sales certifications are a plus; Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in the veterinary or healthcare industry is highly preferred; Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated track record of successfully leading a sales team to achieve national sales targets, with experience managing complex sales cycles and large client accounts; Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team; Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels, including internal teams, customers, and senior management.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data, develop strategies, and take actionable insights; Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support the sales team.
