Job Description:
We will need a Shopify & SEO Specialist to maintain our ecommerce platform’s back-end
and manage technical SEO and site structure. You’ll ensure our website runs smoothly, loads quickly, ranks well, and delivers a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Shopify Website Management:
- Monitor and improve site speed and performance
- Ensure selected Shopify theme is optimized across all devices
- Manage and troubleshoot Shopify apps and integrations
- Ensure site functionality, responsiveness, and UX
- Implement updates, bug fixes, and ongoing improvements
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and resolve issues
Technical SEO:
- Ensure proper indexing, crawlability, and site structure
- Optimise URL structures, redirects, and canonical tags
- Manage XML sitemaps and robots.txt (where applicable in Shopify)
- Identify and fix technical SEO issues (duplicate content, broken links, crawl errors)
- Improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis
- Build and execute internal linking strategies across collections and products
- Continuously refine on-page SEO to improve rankings and conversions
- Edit and optimise existing content from the marketing team to align with SEO best
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor SEO performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion performance
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations for growth
Qualifications and requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5+ Years experience in SEO or digital marketing roles across relevant industries.
- Proven experience managing and optimising Shopify websites
- Strong understanding of Shopify themes, Liquid, and app ecosystem
- Solid knowledge of technical SEO and on-page optimisation
- Experience with site speed optimisation and Core Web Vitals
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and web performance best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
- Proven success in developing and executing SEO strategies.
- Expertise in keyword research and competitive analysis.
- Demonstrated results in improving website visibility and traffic.
- Proven experience managing and optimising Shopify website
- Strong understanding of Shopify themes, Liquid, and app ecosystem
