About the Role
As the client’s operations undergo modernization and a core ERP system integration , they are seeking a methodical, highly organized, and proactive Inbound Logistics Coordinator. This critical position handles the strategic puzzle of international freight movement from factory handover in China to domestic US transport and final warehouse receipt.
The current operation faces significant supply chain pain points, including unpredictable container arrivals, "stop and go" warehouse bottlenecks, and a lack of inbound predictability. Your core mission is to bring structure, steady cadence, and strict data visibility to our inbound flow.The ideal candidate must be deeply comfortable managing the technical logistics details—such as playing "Tetris" with container space, ensuring trade compliance, and establishing reliable US inland transportation partnerships.
Work Hours: Closer alignment with US timelines to effectively manage and oversee inbound deliveries, transport partners, and warehouse operations on US soil.

What you’ll do- Container Loading Optimization: Strategically review product dimensions and weights to plan container layouts ahead of time, ensuring maximum spatial efficiency and avoiding shipping delays around major supplier bank holiday
- Inbound Cadence Scheduling: Arrange a highly predictable rolling cadence of container arrivals at the US warehouse to prevent operational disruptions and restart stalled outbound customer orders.
- US Inland Transportation Pieces: Overhaul domestic transit networks by proactively tracking containers from rail hubs to the warehouse, holding US carriers accountable to delivery schedules, and potentially onboarding new transport partners to improve reliability.
- Shipping Documentation & Compliance: Take absolute ownership of trade documentation, ensuring that bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and import records are precise, well-organized, and compliant with trade customs.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate hand-in-hand with the ERP and Order Allocation Coordinator to feed real-time visibility data to the Control Tower, enabling customer support teams to receive early alerts regarding any transit delays.
- ERP Data Maintenance: Consistently log and maintain accurate shipment data, milestones, weights, and dimensional records within the inventory management software to sustain high data accuracy.
- Experience: 2–3+ years of professional experience handling international logistics, ocean freight execution, or inbound transportation networks. Backgrounds limited exclusively to general customer service will not be considered.
- Industry Environment: Strong background coming out of freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL), BPO logistics shared services, or head-office retail supply chain teams.
- ERP & Software Competency: Experience navigating an ERP environment (such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar inventory systems) with a clear understanding of documentation tracking and segregation of duties.
- Experience with Cin7 Core is a major asset but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable with import compliance processes and highly proficient in database or tracking tools (Excel/Google Sheets) to manage spatial container data and freight logs .
- Core Soft Skills: A self-starter capable of managing multiple moving variables without needing a rigid script, possessing a "no-nonsense" attitude and strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Established experience coordinating container transit specifically between East Asian manufacturing hubs (China) and US West Coast/Inland rail corridors.
- Prior exposure to operational workflows within a scaling Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) or e-commerce start-up.
- The predictability, scheduling cadence, and tracking accuracy of all inbound container receipts.
- The organization, accuracy, and timely completion of all regulatory trade compliance records and freight invoices.
- System data integrity within the primary ERP for all incoming shipping milestones and actual transit timelines.
