Position Title: Sous Chef

Job Description:

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high standards in food quality, presentation, and hygiene across all buffet stations. The role supervises food preparation, oversees buffet replenishment, controls inventory and food cost, and ensures compliance with food safety standards.

The Sous Chef also assists in staff supervision, training, and maintaining smooth kitchen coordination during service.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory kitchen role, preferably in fine dining, hotel, or buffet operations
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
  • Experience in inventory control and basic food costing
  • Good leadership and team management skills
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in basic MS Office, particularly Excel
