Job Description
The Patient Scheduling Advocate is responsible for assisting patients with scheduling and managing appointments for physicians and medical imaging services. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns, ensuring accurate appointment coordination and excellent patient experience within a healthcare BPO environment.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physician visits and medical imaging procedures such as MRI, CT Scan, Mammogram, and other diagnostic services
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and empathetically
- Assist patients with general inquiries, including appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups
- Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients as requested
- Verify patient demographics and appointment information accurately
- Document all interactions clearly in scheduling or healthcare systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies
- Meet defined productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics
- College graduate of any medical allied course (required)
- At least 6 months of BPO experience in a healthcare setting handling patient calls or concerns
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive patient concerns
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Should be willing to work night shifts and onsite in Alabang
- Experience with US healthcare accounts
- Familiarity with healthcare scheduling or EHR systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in shifting schedules, including holidays or weekends
