Electrical Planning Engineer in Cagayan De Oro

You will ensure reliable, safe, and compliant power infrastructure — from initial assessment to upgrade implementation and site acceptance. This role requires deep technical expertise in AC/DC power systems, strong documentation skills, and the ability to make critical technical decisions under tight timelines.

• Power Capacity Assessment: Conduct detailed analysis of existing AC & DC power capacities; evaluate if sites can support additional equipment loads.
• Power Solutions & Upgrades: Design and implement upgrade solutions including rectifier expansion, battery bank replacement, and utility transformer upgrades.
• Technical Approval (FACI-PWR): Review and formally approve Technical Site Survey Reports (TSSR) and Change Application Forms (CAF) focused on power requirements.
• Service Order Management: Create and manage ServiceNow (SO) tickets; draft & approve Methods of Procedure (MOP) for high-risk power activities.
• Operational Audit: Monitor delivery and installation of Owner Supplied Inventory (OSI) materials; verify alignment with planned configurations.

• Educational Background
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field.
• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) license or professional certification is highly preferred.
• Professional Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in Telecommunications Power Systems or Facility Engineering.
• Proven experience in power dimensioning and load calculation for macro & micro cell sites.
• Track record of managing end-to-end power upgrades: from assessment to design, implementation, and integration.
• Technical Skills & Competencies
• Power Systems Expertise: Advanced knowledge of DC Power Plants (rectifiers, -48V systems, busbars) and AC Distribution (transformers, ATS, diesel generators).
• Battery Technology: Proficient in dimensioning, sizing, and health-checks for Lead-Acid (VRLA) and Lithium-Ion battery systems.
• Governance & Documentation: Expert ability to review/approve TSSR & CAF; strong focus on electrical safety and compliance.
• Risk Management: Experience drafting & executing MOPs for high-risk works (live power tapping, rectifier hot-swaps, etc.).
• Tools: High proficiency in ServiceNow for SO management, asset tracking, and reporting.
• Soft Skills
• Strong analytical skills — able to forecast power trends and identify bottlenecks before they affect operations.
• Sound decision-making: confident to issue Go/No-Go decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication: coordinate effectively with field teams, vendors, project managers, and utility providers.
• Valid driver’s license & driving skills: advantage but not required.
